School Magazine Name Decision

For my preliminary task I am creating a college magazine aimed at sixth form students.
I have picked 3 mastheads.

House Style

-As my audience is quite young, I want my font to be quite formal as my audience members are the oldest in the college, therefore I want to resemble some form of maturity.
-I want my magazine to be recogniseable to the school logo therefore for my colour scheme I am using white, blue, and yellow.
-My magazine is aimed at sixth form students therefore my mode of address is quite chatty and informal.

Magazine Front Cover Template

I made this front cover template by using the measurements from a real magazine front cover and imported it into a word document using the gridlines and rulers to help me be as accurate as I could.
I then used the measurements from the template from the real magazine front cover to create a template more suited to my school magazine as I have used a medium close-up instead of a long shot. I created my template for my school magazine in word and used the gridlines to help me get the correct measurements.
Here is my finished template without the gridlines.

Typography

I have changed the meaning of this text 'Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive. Elbert Hubbard.' by using a different fonts and colours.
For the first text, I changed the colour of the text to red which conveys danger as you could view the meaning of the text as a warning sign and warning signs usually are red. I also changed the text to all capital letters because it stands out more than lower case letters as I wanted it to show a warning sign.
For the second text, I wanted it to convey a calm and friendly approach of advice, which juxtaposes the first text. I did this by changing the colour of the text to a baby blue colour which has connotations of trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith and truth, which is important because when people receive advice they expect it to be trustworthy. I also chose a font that was spaced out because this helps the reader to read the text slowly which would help them understand and take in the text which is important because I wanted the text to convey a different meaning to the first text.
